Students will gain knowledge essential to improving their mastery of French. The program takes a practical and theoretical approach, allowing students to learn the basics of the language or hone the skills they already possess.
It will give students the tools they need to pursue their studies or function in their professional field or in Québec society with a command of French that will enable them to achieve their goals.
This certificate may be credited towards a bachelor’s degree (through addition of certificates), as long as the candidate has previously obtained a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) or the equivalent.
The certificate consists of at least 30 credits. Students can take their courses in intensive sessions or on a part-time basis, during the summer or school year. The courses to be taken will depend on students’ placement tests and results for each course.
