Note: You may not take a course at the same level more than twice.
Students must send the following to one of the addresses given in the box below:
The registration form completed and signed.
A photocopy of the birth certificate showing the names of the father and mother, and the place of birth.
A photocopy of the visa, or the IMM-1000 or IMM-5292 form, or the permanent residence card (both sides), or a Canadian citizenship card (both sides), or a residence permit.
A photocopy of the passport stamped with the date of entry into Canada or a photocopy of the birth certificate with the family names and given names of the father and mother, and the place of birth.
A deposit of CAN $100 for each three-credit course or CAN $200 for each six-credit course. The school will send a letter of acceptance after the deposit is received.
Foreign students must also take out health insurance.

By the final registration date, the student must have paid all tuition fees in full. Foreign students must also have paid their health insurance premium.

Canadian citizens will receive a tax receipt in February, in the amount of $291.78 for a three-credit course in the 2010 Spring-Summer session and in the amount of $583.56 for a six-credit course in the 2010 Fall and 2011 Winter sessions.

The Université de Montréal reserves the right to change the content and cost of its courses without notice.
Students who wish to cancel their registration must notify the Language School in writing.
The CAN $100 deposit for a three-credit course and the CAN $200 deposit for a six-credit course are not refundable, unless the student has been denied a visa. In this case, official notification must be received before the start of courses.
The balance of tuition fees and related costs is refundable if the École receives written notice before the cancellation date.
The cost of health insurance is refundable only if the student cancels the registration by the prescribed deadlines.
For courses lasting one session or less, only a visitor’s visa is required. Citizens of some countries do not need a visa. Contact the Canadian consulate or embassy in your country of origin for more information. In addition, verify that your date of entry in Canada has been officially stamped in your passport.
To register for two or more consecutive sessions, foreign students must obtain a Québec Acceptance Certificate and a Student Authorization from the Canadian government. Further information may be obtained by contacting:
